UK visa application fees across nearly all categories, including family visas, will increase from 9 April 2025. Partners of British Citizens and UK permanent residents applying for a UK fiancée, unmarried partner or spouse visa from outside the UK will be charged £1,938, up from £1,846 currently. Those switching to or applying to extend their existing spouse or partner visa from within the UK will see their fees climb to £1,321, up from £1,258. Meanwhile, the cost of applying for indefinite leave to remain or ILR, also known as UK permanent residence, will jump from £2,885 to £3,029. Where possible, we are encouraging our clients to submit visa applications before 9 April 2025 to avoid the fee increase.
